Main Sequence resources and materials

A filterable index of materials that are actually named in official media. It is a map of confirmed existence and context, not a complete recipe calculator.

  • Filterable table
  • Official sources only
  • Recipes left blank where unknown

The demo exposes a production chain but not a stable public recipe list. This index avoids inventing the missing steps.

What this index covers

The table collects materials that appear in official Steam screenshots, developer announcements, patch notes or the official store listing. Each row tells you why the material is in the database and what the public record confirms about it.

It is intentionally not a full crafting encyclopedia. Many recipes, recipe times and machine ratios are not public, and the demo has already changed costs between patches. We do not fill those gaps with numbers copied from an unrelated game or an old video.

Science tiers are included because the developer names them as progression goals. Whether every science type is represented as a conventional inventory item is not separately confirmed in the public material, so the category is “Science type” rather than “science pack.”

What the rows mean

Name: as written in the source where possible.
Context: the confirmed use or appearance.
Evidence: the specific official source.

What the rows do not mean

A lower-tier row is not a crafting recipe. An item appearing in a build-cost screenshot does not mean that cost is current. No row implies a drop rate, sell price or optimal production ratio.

Confirmed resources and materials

Use the filters to narrow the table by category or search for an item. All rows remain in the page when JavaScript is unavailable.

Confirmed Main Sequence resources and materials
EntryTypeConfirmed contextEvidence
Titanium OreRaw resourceShown as a scannable asteroid resource in an official game screenshot. The demo also contains enriched titanium processing.
Nickel oreRaw resourceThe official patch notes mention Rich Nickel Asteroids and Enriched Nickel Ore. The exact base-item label is not separately shown in our public sources.
CobaltRaw resourceCobalt is found in other sectors after the starting system and is used to make Electromagnetic Science, according to the developer.
GraphiteRaw resourceGraphite is found alongside Cobalt in other sectors and feeds the Electromagnetic Science production chain.
GlassRefined materialAdded as an item with the Silica Refining technology. The patch notes describe a window block and a glass item.
Enriched Titanium OreRefined materialProcessed at the ship workstation in the demo. Official patch notes reduced its crafting time from 6 seconds to 3 seconds.
Enriched Nickel OreRefined materialProcessed through the demo’s ore enrichment line. The official hotfix notes group it with enriched titanium.
Titanium PlatesRefined materialA build material referenced in official balance notes for the demo-era container recipe.
Hull PlateComponentUsed in ship construction cost readouts shown in official screenshots, including hull plating for a large frigate design.
Reinforced GlassComponentA ship-building material shown in official screenshots. It appears in the cost for habitat windows and larger hulls.
Lightweight FrameComponentUsed in demo build costs. Official patch notes show it being used for containers and ship construction; some balance values have changed.
Reinforced PlateComponentListed in a ship construction cost panel in an official screenshot.
Basic CircuitsComponentA craftable component in the production side of the visible research tree and in ship build costs.
Advanced CircuitsComponentShown as a higher-tier ship construction material in an official build-cost panel.
Magnetic CoilsComponentA ship construction component shown in official screenshots. Exact crafting inputs are not confirmed by our sources.
Iridium PlatesComponentA ship construction material shown in an official screenshot for a large cruiser design.
Superconductor CoilComponentA late production-tree node visible in the official demo research screenshot; also used in ship construction costs.
Superalloy FrameComponentA higher-tier ship construction material shown in an official build-cost panel.
CapacitorsComponentOfficial balance notes list Capacitors as part of the Station Plasma Turret cost after the September 17, 2026 patch.
ServomotorComponentA production research node visible in the official demo technology tree.
Servo PlatesComponentA production research node and ship-building material visible in official screenshots.
Advanced PlateComponentA production research node shown after Servo Plates in the official demo technology tree.
Containment CoilComponentA production research node shown in the official demo technology tree.
CoolantComponentA locked production research node shown after Containment Coil in the official demo tree.
SuperalloyComponentA locked production research node shown after Coolant in the official demo tree.
Warp FuelConsumableThe only fuel that can be inserted into the Slipstream Drive, per the official September 2026 patch notes. Also appears in the production research tree.
Repair PackConsumableCrafted in the Assembler and used from the pilot seat to repair ships, according to the August 2025 playtest patch notes.
Electromagnetic ScienceScience typeThe research branch added to the demo for the October 19, 2026 Next Fest update. Cobalt and Graphite are part of its production chain.
Quantum ScienceScience typeA science tier beyond the starting demo progression, described in the developer’s September playtest post.
Astronomic ScienceScience typeA late-game science type researched with resources found in other star systems, according to the developer.
Xenobiologic ScienceScience typeThe final science type named in the September 2026 playtest overview, leading to late-game equipment and modules.

What is intentionally missing

The public data is enough to seed a useful index but not enough to build a complete production calculator. The following are absent because we could not verify them:

  • Full recipe inputs and outputs for most materials.
  • Crafting times, machine speeds and power consumption.
  • Tier-by-tier acquisition locations and drop rates.
  • Market or sale values, if such a system exists.
  • The final launch balance for costs and stack sizes.

If you need one of these before launch, the safest source is the current in-game interface and the latest official patch notes. Community videos can show a working process, but they may be from an older build.

A note on names

The game sometimes uses a plural build-cost label (“Lightweight Frames”) and a singular technology label. We standardise the display name and keep the source context specific. The base item for “Nickel ore” is implied by official references to Rich Nickel Asteroids and Enriched Nickel Ore, but the exact inventory label is not separately visible in our sources.

For the visible technology dependencies, use the research database. For the machines that consume these materials, use the modules database.
